  • 10 bacon strips

  • 4 sage leaves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 leaves of lemon balm

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

perfect for the grill

Clean the trout under running water and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Wash the herbs, spin dry, and roughly chop. Stuff the trout with the herbs and a slice of lemon. If you like, you can add a little salt and pepper to the inside of the fish, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Wrap the fish in bacon and place it in fish patties. Grill until the bacon is browned all over and the fish is cooked through, turning several times. This took us about 20 minutes. Serve with grilled potatoes and salad, for example.
