- 4 eggs
- mayonnaise
- breadcrumbs

a well-kept secret from Viennese cuisine
Boil the eggs hard. Combine the mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, and boiled eggs in a blender until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Let stand for 15 minutes and, depending on the consistency, add more breadcrumbs (if too runny) or more mayonnaise (if too thick). Now you can stir in various (pureed) ingredients to suit your taste. The sky’s the limit. My favorite spread is tomato paste and pickle. Salmon, salami, bacon, crab, etc. also work.
