Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 6 large tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
- 1 small can of vegetables (Leipziger Allerlei) or mixed vegetables
- 3 eggs, hard boiled
- 200 g tuna, from the can
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise, optional. More if desired

Cut a top off the tomatoes, hollow them out, and sprinkle the inside with salt, pepper, and a little sugar. Drain the vegetables from the can, reserving the juices. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper. Dice the hard-boiled eggs and shred the tuna. Mix the mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons of the vegetable juice and carefully fold in the vegetables, eggs, and tuna. Add more mayonnaise if necessary. Fill the tomatoes with this mixture and replace the lids. Place the tomatoes on a large round plate and pile the remaining mixture in the center. Serve with buttered toast or baguette.
