Tuna Steak on Mango and Chilli Salad
The perfect tuna steak on mango and chilli salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the tuna:
- 500 g Tuna (sushi quality)
- 1,25 tbsp Cinnamon
- 2,5 tbsp Sesame
- 2,5 tbsp Poppy
- Fleur de sel
- Black pepper from the mill
For the salad:
- 1,25 Pc. Mango
- 1,25 Pc. Shallot
- 1,25 handful Mint
- 1,25 Pc. Red peppers
- Olive oil
- White balsamic vinegar
- Salt
- First, peel the mango and dice it. Also cut the bell pepper and the pitted chilli into small cubes. Finely chop the shallot, mint and coriander.
- Mix the salt with the white balsamic vinegar and the olive oil to a marinade and mix together with the remaining ingredients to make a salad. Let the salad stand for half an hour.
- Mix the salt, pepper and cinnamon for the tuna marinade and place on a plate. Mix the sesame and poppy seeds together and place on a plate. Portion the tuna so that it can be sliced after frying.
- First roll the tuna extensively in the spice mixture. It should be completely covered in the spices. Now moisten the tuna with a little water and roll it in the sesame mixture. Make sure that the sesame sticks evenly to the tuna.
- Sear the tuna on all sides in a pan and then cut the fried tuna into thin slices.
