Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 20 g sesame seeds
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some flour
  • 1 sprig(s) of thyme
  • 1 rosemary sprig(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 28 minutes

Pluck and finely chop the herbs. Whisk the egg. Wash and dry the tuna steaks, then coat them thinly with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme. Coat them in flour, brush them thinly with egg, and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the tuna for 1-1.5 minutes on each side over high heat. Then fry for another 2-3 minutes on each side over low heat. The breading should be lightly browned, and the tuna should still be slightly pink on the inside. Rosemary potatoes are a perfect side dish.
