Turkey Chilli Con Carne

The perfect turkey chilli con carne recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Turkey breast fillet
  • 2 piece Large red onions
  • 2 piece Garlic
  • 1 piece Red chilli pepper
  • 1 piece Orange peppers
  • 1 level teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • 200 Milliliters Water
  • 2 teaspoon Chicken broth
  • 400 g Sieved tomatos
  • 2 Cans Kidney beans
  • 4 teaspoon Sunflower oil
  1. I made the variant with minced turkey for the first time and we were thrilled 🙂 If you like it particularly spicy, use 2 chili peppers.
  2. Start to work the peppers: a) halve the peppers b) remove the stalk c) remove the inner skins d) rinse the pepper halves under cold running water so that the kernels “disappear” e) cut the peppers into small cubes
  3. Now you pellet the onions and cut them into small cubes
  4. Then it’s the turn of the garlic. Peel them and cut them into small cubes.
  5. Cut the chilli pepper, remove the inner skins and remove all seeds. Then the chilli pepper is cut into very small pieces.
  6. Rinse the turkey breast fillet under cold, running water.
  7. Pat the turkey breast fillet dry with kitchen paper.
  8. Place the turkey breast fillet on a cutting board. Any tendons that may be present must now be removed. Cut the turkey breast fillet in there. 2cm pieces.
  9. Press the turkey breast pieces through the meat grinder in stages to prepare the minced turkey.
  10. Put the sunflower oil in a medium saucepan and heat it up.
  11. Now the onion cubes, garlic cubes and chili peppers are browned until translucent.
  12. Add the turkey mince and the spices and fry, turning several times with the spatula, all spicy.
  13. Then you add the water and stir in the chicken stock powder.
  14. Pour in the tomatoes.
  15. Then the diced paprika and kidney beans must be added.
  16. Reduce the temperature and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes.
  17. Finally, season to taste again and, if necessary, add seasoning.
  18. Rice or baguette bread is ideal as a side dish.
