Turkey gyros – potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg turkey meat (gyros, see my recipes or store-bought)
  • 750 g potatoes
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 125 ml milk
  • 125 ml cream
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda)
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

If you like, you can first prepare the gyro meat according to my recipe. Boil the potatoes, peel them, and slice them. Drain the mushrooms and sauté them. Meanwhile, combine the cream, milk, and spices and refrigerate. Butter a casserole dish, add the meat first, then the mushrooms, and finally the potatoes. Pour the cream mixture over the meat and spread the cheese evenly over it. Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
