Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 12 slice(s) turkey meat (fillet)
- 24 slice(s) ham, Turkish beef ham (Pastirma)
- 12 tsp mustard
- 100 g cheese, grated Gouda
- 12 small cucumbers (gherkins)
- 3 onions
- 1 can/n tomatoes (peeled, finely chopped)
- 1 bell pepper(s), red
- 2 tbsp paprika paste (salca)
- 1 Clarified butter, for frying
- salt and pepper
- Flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Place the turkey fillet on a sheet of cling film, then pound it lightly with a meat tenderizer. Brush each turkey roll with 1 teaspoon of mustard, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then place 2 slices of pastirma on each turkey roll, then add the grated Gouda cheese, and finally a gherkin. Roll everything into a roll and secure it with 1-2 toothpicks to prevent it from coming apart. Coat each turkey roll in a plate of flour, heat the Biskin in a pot, place the turkey rolls in it, and fry until crispy. Empty the can of tomatoes onto the turkey rolls, add the roughly chopped onions and bell peppers, the salca, and a glass of water. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Simmer for a good 30 minutes at a low heat. Rice goes very well with it.
