- 1,500 g chicken wings, ready to cook
- 120 ml hoisin sauce
- 60 ml honey
- 5 garlic cloves, squeezed
- 1 piece(s) fresh ginger (about thumb-sized), grated
- 1 tbsp chili oil

Preparation for a 3.5 L crockpot: Mix the sauce ingredients well and coat the prepared chicken wings evenly in the sauce. Then, layer the chicken wings, skin-side up, in the crockpot and pour over the remaining sauce. Cover and simmer on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours. Serve with your choice of side dishes (e.g., rice and Chinese vegetables) and garnish with the resulting sauce.
