Turkey schnitzel in paprika sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g bell pepper(s), red, yellow and green
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 turkey schnitzels, thin, approx. 150 g each
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • some marjoram, dried
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 ml paprika sauce
  • 250 ml tomato juice
  • 3 tbsp black olives, pitted, sliced
  • 3 tbsp crème fraîche

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean and wash the peppers, peel the onion, and cut both into strips. Wash the meat and pat dry. Heat oil in a pan. Briefly sear the meat on both sides, season with salt, pepper, and marjoram, and remove. Briefly fry the peppers and onions in the hot frying fat. Add the paprika sauce, tomato juice, and olives. Bring the sauce to a boil and season with salt and pepper. Place the schnitzels in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Dollops of crème fraîche on top. Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 200°C, fan: 175°C, gas mark 3) for about 10 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
