Turkey schnitzel with almond breading

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 turkey schnitzels
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 60 g almonds (flaked almonds)
  • 40 g breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Mix the almonds with the breadcrumbs. First, pound the turkey schnitzels, season with salt and pepper. Then (as with regular schnitzels) coat them first in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the mixture of flaked almonds and breadcrumbs. Tip: You can also season the schnitzels with the beaten egg instead of the schnitzels. Then fry the schnitzels in a pan on both sides at a moderate heat. But be careful—the almonds burn quickly. I serve this with a green salad with onions, cherry tomatoes, and herb dressing, along with kohlrabi vegetables. You can also serve it with curry rice with pineapple. It’s nothing special, but it’s a change from the “normal” breading.
