Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 turkey steaks
  • 15 sage leaves, fresh
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • some salt and pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Roughly chop the larger sage leaves, leaving the smaller ones whole. Pat the turkey steaks dry, season with salt, and sear them in a pan with a tablespoon of butter on both sides, then simmer over medium heat until just cooked through. After searing, add 3 tablespoons of butter and the sage to the pan and sear until the steaks are cooked through and the sage is slightly crispy. Only then should the steaks be seasoned with black pepper. Serve the turkey steaks with mashed potatoes, then baste both with the sage butter.
