Turkey strips in puff pastry

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry from the freezer section
  • 200 g turkey steak(s) (turkey mini steaks)
  • 100 g Gouda, grated
  • 125 g hollandaise sauce
  • ½ bell pepper(s), red
  • ½ bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 egg yolk
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet. Cut the turkey steaks into small, bite-sized pieces and season with pepper, salt, and paprika, then fry them thoroughly in a pan. Dice the bell peppers and sauté them briefly. Place the meat, bell peppers, cheese, and hollandaise sauce in a bowl and mix well. Spread the mixture lengthwise down the center of the puff pastry. Then shape the puff pastry into a log and brush with egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 25 minutes.
