Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with minced meat or sheep’s cheese, makes about 25 dumplings
Mix all the dough ingredients together, add as much flour as the dough can absorb, and knead until nice and smooth. Let the dough rest for about 25 minutes, then shape into about 25 balls. Minced meat filling: Mix the minced meat and spices, brown, and chop very finely. Then pass through a sieve and press out any excess fat. Feta cheese filling: Crumble the feta cheese and mix with the remaining ingredients. Roll out the dough balls, place the desired filling on one half, fold the other half over, and press the edges down firmly (ideally with a small fork). Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the egg yolk with the coffee milk and brush the dumplings with it. Then sprinkle with caraway seeds and sesame seeds. Bake at about 200°C (top and bottom heat) or 160°C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes. Delicious hot or cold.
