Turkish flatbread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 2 points dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • some sesame
  • Flour , for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

for 2 loaves of bread

Combine flour, yeast, salt, sugar, and oil. Gradually add water and knead until the dough is glossy and pulls away from the sides of the pan. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes. Knead the dough vigorously on a floured surface, form two balls, and roll out into 1 cm thick flatbreads. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes. Brush the flatbreads with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes at 250°C on the middle rack.
