Turkish flatbread with vegetables

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large loaf(s) (flatbread)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 150 g sheep’s cheese
  • Olives (amount as desired)
  • 1 eggplant or zucchini
  • 1 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • ½ bell pepper(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s) or pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the vegetables (don’t peel the cucumber), dice the feta cheese. Mix everything together and add the olive oil and chilies. A pinch of salt and pepper rounds out the flavor. Cut open the flatbread (do not cut all the way through) and fill it with the chopped vegetables. Fold the flatbread with the vegetable filling back on and place it in the oven. Don’t set the oven too high (max. 180°C with fan-assisted oven)—otherwise, the bread will be too dry. After 15 to 20 minutes, a healthy and delicious loaf will emerge from the oven.
