Yalanci Kesme Corba

Boil the lentils in plenty of water, but do not overcook them. When they are still firm to the bite, add the spiral noodles and continue cooking over medium heat. Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onions, then add the paprika and spices. Fry over medium heat until the onions are tender. Slowly stir the sauce into the noodle and lentil mixture and bring to a boil. The soup is ready to serve. In the original version, the noodles are made from scratch and added to the lentils. Browned ground meat is also added. This is why this soup is also called “fake” lentil stew in Turkish.
