Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g noodles (star-shaped soup noodles)
  • 4 cups rice
  • 9 cups water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 250 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the soup noodles and fry until golden brown. Meanwhile, wash the rice thoroughly in hot water and drain. Then add it to the noodles and fry briefly. Add the 9 cups of water and stir well. Now add the salt and let it cook over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom. The rice is done when no more water is visible (you can also place a wooden spoon in the center – if it tips over, the rice is not done yet). Remove the pan from the heat, close the lid, and let it rest for another 10 minutes before serving.
