Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g beef (prime rib or flat shoulder, e.g. from Galloway beef)
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mediterranean herbs, dried
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 400 g beans, green broad
  • 2 carrots
  • ½ leek(s)
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

everything cooked in one pot

Dice the meat, wash and finely chop the vegetables, and finely chop the garlic. Brown the meat in a little oil, add the vegetables except for the beans, add the tomato paste and seasonings, and simmer gently for about 45 minutes. Then add the finely chopped beans and cook until the beans are tender. This should take about 20 minutes. Serve with rice or potatoes.
