Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 apples, sour
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g butter, liquid
  • 100 g flour
  • ½ sachet of baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • Butter and flour for the mold
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mele cake

Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Slice them crosswise into wafer-thin slices. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning. Whisk the remaining ingredients thoroughly in a bowl, but do not beat them, until a smooth, thick batter forms. Finally, stir in the apple slices. Transfer the mixture to a buttered, floured, shallow 26-cm round pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes, until golden brown. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm.
