Tuscan bread casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150g ciabatta
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 stalks of basil
  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 200 g tomatoes
  • 50 g pitted olives
  • 250g mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp herbs (herbs de Provence), dried
  • Fresh herbs for garnishing
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Very tasty and quick to make, side dish for a barbecue party

Roughly dice the bread. Finely dice the garlic and sauté in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the bread and lightly toast, turning occasionally. Pick the basil leaves. Slice the onion and tomatoes. Place the prepared ingredients and olives in a baking dish and season with salt, pepper, and the dried herbs. Slice the mozzarella and spread it on the bread. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C for electric ovens, 175°C for fan ovens) for about 20 minutes. Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
