Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 red bell pepper(s)
- 1 m.-sized onion(s), peeled
- 1 can of tomatoes, peeled (or 3 fresh tomatoes plus some tomato juice)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- Salt
- pepper
- oregano
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Peel the onion and garlic and place them in a food processor along with the spices and herbs. Blend on high for 2 seconds. Trim the bell pepper and add it to the onion mixture, blending for 2 seconds. Add the tomatoes (and a little of the tomato juice if desired) and blend for another 3 seconds. This sauce can now be spread on pizza dough or poured into a bowl and served with chips, crackers, and vegetables (seasoning if desired). It tastes very fruity and is quick to make.
