Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • some butter
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 orange(s), juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Delicious side dish for goose

Core the apples with a corer. Slice the apples and fry them in a little butter. Sprinkle with sugar and caramelize. Remove and keep warm. Split the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Add both to the caramel along with the orange juice and let it simmer. Remove the vanilla pod and pour the orange juice over the apples. The apples go very well with the goose.
