Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g fat (butter)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Currant Jelly)
  • protein

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a dough, roll into logs, cut into 1cm-thick slices, and form into balls. Make a well in the center (this is best done with the handle of a wooden spoon), brush the edges with egg white, and fill the well with blackcurrant jelly (or other jelly). Place the almost-finished vanilla balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake at 200-225°C (fan oven). Bake for 10-15 minutes.
