Vanilla Buttercream (cake Filling)

The perfect vanilla buttercream (cake filling) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 packet Vanilla flavored cooking pudding powder
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 70 g Powdered sugar
  • Ground vanilla pod
  1. Cook the first packet of pudding according to the instructions on the packet (I used vanilla) and let it cool down well. Stir 250g butter (soft), ground vanilla pod (to taste) and 70g powdered sugar into the cold pudding.
  2. I used this filling for my “Hello Kitty” cake. Great as “glue” for fondant.
  3. I used the filling e.g. for this “Hello Kitty cake”: Hello Kitty cake (oreo-vanilla cream)
