Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 vanilla pods, the pulp
  • 100 g almond(s), sweet, ground
  • 150 g butter, room temperature
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Knead the flour, sugar, the seeds of one vanilla pod, almonds, and butter into a dough (this is best done by hand). Form a roll about 4 cm in diameter and cut into thick slices. Shape these into croissants and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 10-15 minutes. Let the croissants cool briefly. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with the seeds of the second vanilla pod. Roll the croissants in the powdered sugar while they are still warm. Store in tins or stoneware pots. Tip: The seeds from the vanilla pods are best scraped out with the handle of a teaspoon.
