Vanilla crescents

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 420 g flour
  • 150 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 5 packs of vanilla sugar (bourbon vanilla!)
  • 5 tbsp white wine
  • 200 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 20 minutes

Quickly knead the butter, powdered sugar, flour, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, nuts, and white wine into a dough by hand. Refrigerate for about 4 hours, then let it rest at room temperature for another hour. Shape the dough into small crescents and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 190°C (top and bottom heat) for about 7-8 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for half a minute, then immediately roll them in a mixture of 200g powdered sugar and 3 packets of vanilla sugar. My favorite of all the vanilla crescents I’ve tried so far.
