Vanilla mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 100 ml milk
  • 3 vanilla pods, scraped out seeds
  • 100 g butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the potatoes. Cut into cubes and boil in plenty of salted water. Drain. Split the vanilla pods, scrape out the seeds, and add everything to the milk. Heat the milk. Melt the butter in it. Remove the vanilla pods and pour the milk over the potatoes. Mash thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
