Vanilla Muffins with Chocolate Buttercream

The perfect vanilla muffins with chocolate buttercream recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 115 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 90 g Sugar
  • 25 g Vanilla sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 140 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 0,5 Chocolate buttercream or quick buttercream with chocolate pudding powder, see KB
  • Sugar sprinkles
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Mix the butter, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Stir in eggs. Sieve in the flour and baking powder and stir in.
  3. Pour the batter into a muffin tin lined with paper liners. (Actually it should be 12 … but it was only enough for 11: D)
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, then allow to cool.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the buttercream. Recipe: Cake Kit – Chocolate Buttercream or: Cake Kit – Quick Simple Buttercream
  6. Cut the cooled muffins a little straight at the top. Pour the buttercream into a piping bag and sprinkle tuffs on the muffins. Garnish with sugar sprinkles.
  7. Chill until ready to eat.
