Vanilla Poppy Seed Cake with Cottage Cheese

for the cream

  • 1 Egg
  • 175 g Butter
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Orange aroma
  • 2 packet Vanilla pudding
  • 750 ml Milk
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 packet Orange aroma
  • 1 packet Poppy mix
  • 500 g Quark
  • 2 Eggs
  • 50 g Flour

for the sprinkles

  • 300 g Flour
  • 150 g Buitter
  • 150 g Sugar
  1. Sieve the flour on a work surface, make a well and add the egg.
  1. Place the butter in flakes on the flour, sprinkle with the sugar and the orange aroma and knead the ingredients quickly with floured hands from the outside inwards to form a smooth dough.
  1. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
