Vanilla pudding with caramel sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 140 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 ml water
  • Mint for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, whisk 4 tablespoons of the milk and the pudding mix until smooth. Bring the remaining milk and 40g of sugar to a boil. Add the mixed pudding mix and bring to a boil. Separate the egg, stir the egg yolk into the pudding. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour the pudding into 4 pudding molds, rinsed with cold water. Refrigerate for about 4 hours. Melt the remaining sugar in a pan, stirring, until golden brown. Deglaze with 125ml of water and bring to a boil. Turn the pudding out onto dessert plates and pour the caramel sauce over it. Serve garnished with mint. 270 kcal per serving.
