Vanilla quark casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 eggs
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g flour
  • 250 g quark
  • 400 ml milk
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with sugar and salt until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg yolks with the milk, flour, quark, and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar until creamy. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Grease a baking dish with plenty of butter (about 2 tbsp). Spread 1 sachet of vanilla sugar evenly over the butter. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Spread another sachet of vanilla sugar over the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (convection oven) for 60 minutes. Apple compote and powdered sugar go perfectly with the batter.
