Vegan apple puff pastry parcels

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, vegan
  • 5 small apples, sour
  • 4 tbsp raw cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • some plant drink for spreading

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

perfect for using up fallen fruit, makes about 6 bags

Peel and dice the apples. Heat them in a pan with the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and margarine, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the mixture thickens. Set aside and let cool. Divide the puff pastry into 6 squares and spread the apple mixture in the center. Fold over and press the edges together with a fork. Brush with the plant-based milk and sprinkle with a little raw cane sugar. Score each triangle twice to allow the hot air to escape during baking. Bake in a preheated oven on the middle rack at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes, until the pastries have risen and are browned.
