Vegan apple turnovers

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, vegan
  • 3 apples
  • ½ tbsp margarine, vegan
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp soy fit cream for spreading
  • Cane sugar for sprinkling

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Peel, core, and finely dice the apples, then braise them in a pan with vegan margarine and brown sugar for 5 minutes. Add cinnamon to taste. Then transfer to a large, flat plate and let cool. Cut the puff pastry into 6 squares or cut out 6 circles with a pastry cutter. Spread the apple filling over the puff pastry and fold them into pockets. If using cut squares, fold them over and press the edges together with a fork. Place all the apple pockets on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, spread with Soja Fit Cream, cut into 3-4 holes, and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
