Vegan: Braised Cabbage with Potato Cubes

The perfect vegan: braised cabbage with potato cubes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 0,5 White cabbage cut
  • 1 cut Onion
  • Oil for frying
  • Vegetable broth for seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 2 diced Carrots
  • 7 medium sized Diced potatoes
  • Caraway seeds to taste
  • 2 cups Filtered water
  • 2 cups Freshly ground pepper
  1. Let the chopped onions turn translucent in the oil, add the chopped cabbage and stew everything.
  1. Season with vegetable stock, sprinkle with paprika powder and stew the cabbage well.
  1. Now add the caraway (you can also grind it, if you don’t like it you can leave it out completely) and stew it ready.
  1. Now add the water, the diced potatoes and carrots, put the lid on and simmer very gently for about 20 to 30 minutes.
