Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 280 ml plant-based drink, e.g. soy drink
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 pinch(s) of pepper
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp oil, neutral
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and then bring back to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and continue stirring until a thick paste forms (similar to mashed potatoes). This cheese substitute can be used as a pizza cheese substitute or as a cheese substitute for nachos or tortilla wraps.
