Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cup oat flakes, wholegrain
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup soy milk (soy drink)
- 1 handful of red berries, preferably thawed from the freezer
- 3 Stevia tablets
- 1 fruit of your choice, e.g. apple and banana
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 shot of blackcurrant syrup, cranberry syrup or maple syrup
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Combine oats, water, soy milk, and three stevia pills (you can use sugar, honey, or sweetener, of course) in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add the berries and cinnamon. Simmer until a firm, yet still mushy mixture forms. Prepare fruit as desired, chop it up, and spread it on the porridge. Top with a dash of syrup—the porridge is ready. This porridge is highly nutritious and will keep you full for hours. Plus, it’s inexpensive and healthy. For an even healthier option, omit the syrup and use no sweetener or white sugar.
