Vegan green spelt lentil spread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 40 g green spelt meal
  • 40 g lentils
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • 10 g yeast flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

hearty and delicious

Simmer the green spelt groats and lentils in vegetable broth for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Chop or grate the carrot and onion into small pieces and add shortly before the end of the cooking time. The vegetable broth should be almost completely absorbed by the end of the cooking time; if necessary, add more water during cooking or let the mixture swell on the turned-off stovetop at the end of the cooking time. Transfer the mixture to a blender, add oil, and season with spices. Blend until smooth and pour into a jar. Stored in the refrigerator, the spread will keep for more than a week.
