Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 800 g jacket potatoes from the previous day
- 500 g soy yogurt (yogurt alternative), unsweetened
- 180 g flour
- 1 cup cranberries or raisins to taste
- 1 ½ tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ lemon(s), juice
- 1 pinch of salt

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Saxon Klitscher without curd and egg
Peel the potatoes and mash or finely grate them. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well with a spoon. This will result in a tough dough that won’t mold easily with your hands. Drop small pieces of the batter into a nonstick pan with a tablespoon and fry until golden brown. Then flip, flatten slightly, and fry the other side until golden brown. Serve with cinnamon and sugar or applesauce.
