Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 65 g flour
- 1 tsp cane sugar
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 100 g cornflakes, unsweetened
- 400g tofu
- 500 ml vegetable oil
- 90 ml water
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- e.g. Paprika powder, sweet or hot
- e.g. turmeric powder
- e.g. curry powder
- e.g. salt and pepper
- e.g. sesame

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes
as part of the main course, salad side dish or small snack in between
Cut the tofu into the desired shape and marinate in the soy sauce. Mix the flour with sugar, salt, about 90 ml water, and seasonings to form a dough. Crumble the cornflakes using a glass bottle or rolling pin. This works best in a freezer bag or similar container. Coat the marinated nuggets first in the batter and then in the cornflakes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the nuggets for about three minutes. Depending on how you use it, this recipe is suitable for one or two people. Tip: It also tastes great if you add sesame seeds to the cornflakes.
