vegan tzatziki

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup of soy cream fraîche (crème fraîche alternative), e.g. B. Cream Vega
  • 4 tbsp, heaped soy yogurt (yogurt alternative)
  • 1 garlic clove(s), more if desired
  • ½ tsp garlic granules
  • 0.2 cucumber(s)
  • 1 large shallot(s) or 1 small onion
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

simply

Mix the soy crème fraîche with the soy yogurt in a bowl. Depending on how garlicky you want your tzatziki to be, press in 1 or 2 cloves of garlic. Dice the shallot or onion as finely as possible and add it. Cut off the watery part in the middle of the cucumber, as this will not go into the tzatziki. Dice the remaining cucumber as finely as possible and add it to the bowl. Add the garlic granules. If you used 2 cloves of garlic, use a little less granules if necessary. Mix the ingredients together and add salt to taste. Thanks to the soy crème fraîche, you can’t taste the typical soy flavor of the yogurt, and the tzatziki will be super creamy. Tip: In some stores, you can find soy crème fraîche right next to the crème fraîche in the refrigerated section, rather than in the vegan section.
