Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g lean minced meat
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 tbsp sultanas
  • 1 can of corn
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp beet syrup
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ cup milk
  • some water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Trim the leeks and slice them into thin rings. Peel and slice the carrots. Brown the minced meat in butter, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add the leeks, carrots, and sultanas, add a little water, and simmer for about 10 minutes. To thicken slightly, dissolve the cornstarch in cold milk, add it to the pan, and bring to a boil. Add the sweetcorn. Season the sauce with beetroot syrup and add a little more salt and pepper, if desired.
