Vegetable rice with minced meat

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 200 g minced meat
  • 1 pack of frozen vegetables (buttered vegetables)
  • 1 jar Basmati (250 g)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • oil
  • Water, not quite two glasses, just under 1 3/4

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Finely chop the onion and fry in oil until golden yellow. Then add the minced meat and fry. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the buttered vegetables (including the herb butter) and fry. Wash the rice, add it, and mix everything well. Add about 2 teaspoons more salt and season with paprika to give the rice a light reddish color. Bring the water to a boil in the kettle and pour over the rice. Simmer on very low heat for 10-15 minutes, until the rice is cooked and the water has absorbed. Season to taste and serve with salad or herb quark.
