Vegetable sauce with peppers and tomatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • oil
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

low-fat and vegetarian

Finely chop the onions and garlic and fry in oil. Add a little sugar and caramelize. Chop the bell peppers and tomatoes. Add 1 teaspoon of vegetable stock with 200 ml of water. Simmer the bell peppers and tomatoes for 10 minutes. Season to taste, puree and strain, and bring back to a boil briefly. Finely chopped grilled bell peppers make a great topping. Serve with pasta.
