Vegetable stew with smoked pork

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 large carrots
  • 3 kohlrabi
  • 1 large leek(s)
  • 350 g smoked pork
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable stock powder
  • 150 g peas, frozen
  • ½ tsp chervil, dried
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Peel, wash, and slice the carrots. Peel, wash, and slice the kohlrabi. Trim, wash, and slice the leek into thick rings. Wash, pat dry, and cut the smoked pork into large cubes. Heat the oil in a large pot. Brown the meat, then remove. Brown the onion and garlic in the frying fat. Add the carrots and leek and cook. Deglaze with 1 liter of water and bring to a boil. Stir in the stock and simmer for about 15 minutes. After about 8 minutes, add the peas, kohlrabi, and smoked pork. Add the chervil to the stew and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Garnish with the remaining chervil.
