Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g green spelt meal
- 500 ml vegetable stock
- 1 onion(s), finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 egg(s)
- 2 tsp paprika powder
- salt and pepper
- ¼ tsp chili flakes
- possibly breadcrumbs to firm up the mixture
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
From green spelt meal
Briefly bring the green spelt meal to a boil in the broth and let it swell on the lowest setting, turning it off occasionally if necessary. Stir the remaining ingredients into the slightly cooled mixture. If the mixture is still too soft, fold in the breadcrumbs. Let everything simmer for about a quarter of an hour. Heat the oil and, with wet hands, form rolls and fry them all over medium heat. I always work directly from my hands into the pan.
