Party hit from Venezuela!

Knead the flour, salt, softened butter, and egg into an elastic dough and let it rest for 1/2 hour. Meanwhile, cut the cheese into pieces about 5 cm long and 1 cm wide (usually you use a very white, slightly salty cheese, but unfortunately, this isn’t available here in Germany). Divide the dough into 2 pieces, roll it out thinly, and cut into 5 x 5 cm squares. Wrap each piece of cheese into a square, starting at the tip (like a croissant), and seal it tightly so that no cheese can escape. By now, the oil should be very hot in a saucepan or deep fryer. Add about 6 pieces at a time, turning occasionally, until nicely browned. Fry for about 3 minutes. Remove from the pan, place on a paper towel, and serve while still warm. Enjoy!
