Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 sausages (mini wieners)
  • ½ pack of puff pastry
  • 12 black peppercorns
  • some ketchup or mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-assisted oven or 200°C conventional oven. Lay out the puff pastry and cut into approximately 1 cm wide strips. Wrap one side of the mini wieners three-quarters of the way around with the strips of pastry, and wrap the remaining pastry around the other end to create a head bandage, creating funny mummies. Garnish the sausages with peppercorns to look like eyes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the sausages on it, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with ketchup or mustard.
