Vintner Soup Maike’s Style

The perfect vintner soup maike’s style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 700 g Fresh onions
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 30 g Clarified butter
  • 900 ml Vegetable broth
  • 300 ml White wine
  • 250 ml Cream or Rama Creme Fine
  • 300 g Diced bacon
  • 1 Dried marjoram
  • 1 Nutmeg dried
  • 1 cups Sour cream
  1. Dice the onions, cut the potatoes into cubes. Braise both ingredients in clarified butter.
  1. Pour in the vegetable stock. Finally add the white wine and the cream.
  1. Approx. Let simmer for 30 minutes.
  1. Season with marjoram and nutmeg.
  1. Puree the soup.
  1. Fry the bacon.
  1. Divide the soup into plates, pour the sour cream and bacon on top.
