Vitamin Cake
The perfect vitamin cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Butter or margarine
- 300 g Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 packet Vanilla sugar
- 200 g Flour
- 100 g Food starch
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 4 tsp Lemon juice
- 0,125 liter Freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 Freshly squeezed lemons
- 150 g Sugar
- Beat butter or margarine (room temperature) with sugar until frothy.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla sugar. Sift the flour, cornstarch and baking powder into the butter and sugar mixture. Add lemon juice and stir again. Grease a 26 cm form and fill in the dough. Bake 200 degrees bottom / top heat 180 degrees fan-assisted air for 30 – 35 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and then turn out.
- Mix the orange juice, lemon juice and sugar for the topping. Spread the icing over the hot cake.
