Vitamin Cake

The perfect vitamin cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Butter or margarine
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g Food starch
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 4 tsp Lemon juice
  • 0,125 liter Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 Freshly squeezed lemons
  • 150 g Sugar
  1. Beat butter or margarine (room temperature) with sugar until frothy.
  2. Stir in eggs and vanilla sugar. Sift the flour, cornstarch and baking powder into the butter and sugar mixture. Add lemon juice and stir again. Grease a 26 cm form and fill in the dough. Bake 200 degrees bottom / top heat 180 degrees fan-assisted air for 30 – 35 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and then turn out.
  3. Mix the orange juice, lemon juice and sugar for the topping. Spread the icing over the hot cake.
